There is no free way to get the real Tinder Gold. Any app that claims to unlock it is either not telling the truth or breaking Tinder’s rules in a way that can get your account restricted. What you can do for free is get close to some of the things people buy Gold for, using Tinder’s own free features and an honest companion app.
Here is what is realistic and what is not.
What people actually want from Gold
Most people look at Gold for one of four reasons:
- Seeing who already liked them.
- Not running out of likes.
- Swiping in another city (Passport).
- Undoing a mistaken left swipe (Rewind).
Each of these has a different answer when you are not paying. For an overview of what the paid tiers include, see Tinder Gold vs Platinum.
What you can get for free
A rough idea of who liked you
Free Tinder accounts already show a blurred “Likes You” grid and a count. That count is real information: it tells you whether there is a big group of people waiting or just a few.
Spoofy builds on that. Its Already Liked Me feature reads Tinder’s own likes count and points you at the profiles in your recommendations that have probably liked you. It is an estimate, not an exact list, and it will sometimes be wrong. But it helps you decide where to spend your likes.

Faster, more deliberate liking
Gold’s real advantage is speed. You can get some of that back for free with Multi-Liker, which shows a whole grid of recommendations at once. You flick through photos and like the ones you pick in one tap, instead of judging people one card at a time.
Smart filters help too: hide profiles without a bio, with fewer than three photos, that are not verified, or that have not been active recently. Fewer wasted likes means your free allowance goes further.
Knowing when likes refill
Free accounts have a like limit. It is commonly reported as around 100 likes per 12 hours, although Tinder changes it. Spoofy shows how many likes you have left and sends an alert when they refill, so you are not opening Tinder just to check. Our page on running out of likes explains the limit in more detail.
A second look at people you skipped
Rewind is a paid feature in Tinder. Spoofy has Undo for your last pass and a Second look list of everyone you skipped, so an accidental left swipe made in Spoofy is not gone for good.
A free Super Like
Most free accounts get a small number of Super Likes, commonly one a day. Used well, they are one of the strongest free tools you have. See how Super Likes work.
What you can’t get for free
Being honest about this saves you time and protects your account.
- The exact Likes You list. Only Gold and Platinum show it. Estimates are useful, but they are estimates.
- Unlimited likes. Tinder’s limit applies to free accounts, whatever app you use. Spoofy does not remove it.
- Passport or a changed location. Spoofy does not change your location and has no Passport feature. Tools that fake your GPS go against Tinder’s rules.
- Top Picks, Priority Likes, messaging before a match. These are part of the paid tiers.
- Free Boosts. Paid tiers sometimes include them; free accounts generally do not.
If you see an app promising all of the above for free, be careful. It may ask for your password, create fake activity, or simply not work.
Where Spoofy fits
Spoofy is a free companion app for Tinder. It is not affiliated with Tinder or Match Group, it is not Tinder Gold, and it does not unlock any paid Tinder features.
You sign in with the Tinder account you already have. Spoofy never stores your password, does not create a second account, and everything you do shows up in Tinder as usual. Its scheduled Auto-Swipe only likes profiles that pass your filters and stops at 40 likes a day to keep activity natural. Using any third-party app with Tinder is your own choice, and we would rather you know exactly what Spoofy does than oversell it.
It runs as an Android app downloaded from sspoofy.com and as a web app at app.sspoofy.com, which also works on iPhone and on a laptop. It is free, with optional tips to support development.
So, is a free alternative enough?
For many people, yes. If your aim is to get more out of a free account, a better profile plus Multi-Liker, filters and refill alerts covers a lot of what you were hoping Gold would do. If you really want the exact list of who liked you and unlimited likes, Gold is the only way to get them, and our guide on whether Gold is worth it can help you decide.
